Roller Derby Skater - Concept Art

Created for the IntoGames brief "Skater".

For the character design brief of ‘Skater’ I initially planned out ideas for multiple types of skaters (the mind map below) and once I’d settled on the theme of roller derby I began developing that idea. I liked the idea of introducing sport into a fantasy setting so gathered fantasy and sport related inspiration!
The race of half orc really appealed to me for roller derby for a skater because they’re traditionally strong, a useful trait for some positions in roller derby.
